Welcome back and a belated Happy Thanksgiving Day to you and your family.Your Paris’ pictures are beautiful. One day, my husband and I will visit that famed “City of Lights”
We actually planned to go there from London when we visited our daughter in Scotland in December 2001,where she was on a study abroad program at the University of Edinburgh. But it was Christmas time and we could not change the itinerary she made for all of us.
Thanks so much for the CD.I am listening to it while typing away.Allan sure picked some easy listening pieces.
I was saddened by the latest calamity in the Bicol area. The poor and suffering people didn’t stand a chance. In our Charismatic prayer meeting last night, a collection was taken for the victims.I just hope that these funds would actually go to our needy kababayans.
The stories coming out of the Filipino media are so heart breaking.Poverty really makes the difference whether one can survive even in natural calamities.
But what gladdens my heart and gives me hope for our country are the words of Mr. Antonio Meloto(of Gawad Kalinga) and an Atenean , like you.
There are four things he always asks of every Filipino.
1.Never stop hoping for our country.
2.Don’t stop caring for our people.
3. Demand greatness of yourself as a Filipino.
4.Inspire greatness in other Filipinos.
I am going to include his speeches in this email.Just hope that I could do it correctly, I’m not very good in this computer business. My daughter gave me the fastest crash course in computer– 10 minutes..”Mom, that’s all you need to know”.
But I have three friends that always help me in navigating this course—-Prayer, Perseverance and Patience.
